The most pressing threat we have to face in the 21st century is Human induced Climate Change. The lives we are living are all dependent on the physical circumstances of our planet. It is unacceptable to continue the destruction of our atmosphere and biosphere in the current rate. The regulations put in place after the Paris climate agreement are orders of magnitude below a reasonable investment considering the alarmingness of the threat. If we want to imagine utopias it should be without question that we acknowledge this danger and stand together as a species to overcome it.

recent climate models suggest that even if we stop to release fossilized carbon into the atmosphere today, the runaway greenhouse effect is likely to drastically change the face of our planet. This gives our generation an enormous responsibility. We believe that humanity has to take active measures in manipulating and controlling the natural cycles on our planet and beyond. Not to extract value from it but to ensure its and our survival.

We imagine a symbiosis between technology and the wonders of evolution for a post carbon future!
ECOLOGY // TERRAFORMING
Technology should be seen as an emancipating force that creates radical opportunities to imagine different worlds. We must make sure that this liberty is something that everyone can benefit from. We demand the abolishment of intellectual property as it was conceived without the digital in mind. All information should be available to anyone equally.

Open source culture makes people less reliant on globalized corporations and allows for better personalization and innovation of ideas. We imagine a future in which sophisticated technology can be conceived of and be put together by anyone at home.

Space should be open source. It’s resources, spaces and wonders should be available to every human. Out here, ownership should be seen as an outdated concept that should be renewed around freedom of information, sharing economies, communes and the fair distribution of technologically manufactured goods.
OPEN SOURCE EVERYTHING
We believe that it is of major importance to overcome born in characteristics like race, gender, sexuality, nationality or class and to start working towards a symbiotic collaboration between all people. This will ensure the opportunity for each individual to truly follow their own ambitions and enable our species to work as effectively as possible towards change that benefits all.

All mental and material resources currently used to alienate us from each other need to be redistributed towards solving the pressing problems that we are facing together.

Open source space demands the abolishment of nation states and globalized capitalism. The use of military technology in earth's orbit should be seen as an infringement to this demand. Currently operational military and surveillance hardware in space should immediately be turned over to new scientific institutions all over the world. These institutes shall be devoted to making the data available for the use of all humans.

OPEN BORDERS
GLOBAL COMMUNITY
INDIVIDUALISM
There is no inherit meaning in anything, we as individuals and as parts of a collective, decide what matters to us. We decide what valuable knowledge is and how to pass it on to each other and the generations coming after us.

We believe that the progress of our species towards an intersubjectivity closer to the truth needs to be accelerated through the inclusion of as many as perspectives as possible. The real beauty of reality can only be reached through deep understanding. A rational attitude and a scientific, curiosity driven mindset are our most valuable tools in this pursuit.
To achieve this, education needs to be available to everyone regardless of social or economic factors. Further on we need to rethink education as a whole.

Learning environments need to be focused on curiosity and enable every individual to thrive. This demands us to move past the notion that one person's success is another person’s failure. After all the word Competition itself stems from the Late Latin “competere” meaning “to strive together”, which is what education should be about. We want to establish a culture of collaborators, not one of rivals.

Education should aim to give students tools to understand the cosmos and our place in it, not creating an exploitable workforce for economic endeavors. Therefore education also needs to be wholesome and should include the arts, humanities and physical education with the same ambition as the STEM fields.
Likewise we believe that learning is a lifelong journey and should be encouraged in all ages.
EDUCATION
We want to create a Utopia in which humans can decide freely how to fill their lives with meaning. This is why technological progress should not be immediately transformed into growth but instead be instituted as a means of freeing humanity from the chains of labour.

The use of high speed computing and the science of market economics should never again be used to generate speculative bubbles of wealth that are nothing but destructive for the development of society. These technologies should instead be used to better understand the consequences of alienation and globalization so that we can use them in benefit of the planet.

we demand a basic income for all people to ensure that nobody has to work in inhumane conditions. this creates a pressure on the economy to eliminate jobs that are unwanted, driving technological progress and directing it to benefit all.
AUTOMATION
If our being is defined by our interpretation of sensory input and our communication with the world, then what it means to be human is in a constant flux. Technology augments our natural state and changes the ways in which we perceive the world. In this sense humans are already in the process of transforming into cyborgs since we first picked up a stick to catch ants. Of course digital technology is accelerating this tremendously. Today we are already living in a world in which computers augment our knowledge and abilities in ways that deeply influence our understanding of each other.

We believe that the natural state of the human species is not sacred nor necessarily preferable in the face of upcoming changes on our planet as well as varying conditions we will face when exploring the universe beyond Earth.
Technology to advance humans can and should be available to everyone equally and serve the purpose of individual self realisation and not be corrupted by political, economic or otherwise dividing agendas.
We reject the assumption of nature as the creator of justice. Freedom is not a given but something that is created by the way we perceive and change ourselves and the world around us. Let us design it consciously.
TRANSHUMANISM
The fact is that the time of our planet is limited. Maybe we are going to survive our own golems, get lucky and not get hit by a large asteroid or a solar flair - but inevitably the sun will burn out and earth will be consumed by a blazing ball of plasma. The only way to ensure the continuation of life is to have a working backup plan. Our dream is that humanity becomes an interplanetary species. At the moment, rapidly falling launch costs, innovative technology and open source space programs are building the foundation for this.

But that is not enough. National interests and political rivalries are still holding humanity back while further complicating operations of space migration, needlessly messing with the design and construction of spacecraft or refusing to cooperate in science because there's trouble on the world's biggest stage. Space Communism calls for a future focused, community driven population of Mars and other potentially habitable spaces in our solar system like Earth's Orbit, Venus, Europa and Enceladus, the Asteroid Belt and of course the moon.
POPULATING SPACE
We have for centuries been changing other species on Earth, be it through our impact on their habitat or proactively through selective breeding, drugs or even altering of their genes. The existence of our livestock is the best example. If we strive to populate our solar system, we will have to increase the measures in which we change organisms, but it is of major importance to set a moral standard for those procedures. We want to minimize harm and suffering at all costs. The notion of human superiority needs to be overcome, as it currently justifies the use of animals as a means to an end.

(BILD) Chances are that there is not just one pale blue dot out there. Life might exist elsewhere in the universe, which might be the most inspiring and awe-inducing thought there is. If we find extraterrestrial life one day, we should be prepared, technologically and morally. Our current behaviour towards our ecosystem, is not sustainable and can not be used as a model for our actions in space.
We should follow a minimal impact directive, which means we should have policies that do not infringe on the consent of other beings. Peaceful contact with possibly technologically advanced species should be established. One important goal of this relationship should be the sharing of technology and cultural exchange. Humanity’s history of colonialism should make us aware of the devastating consequences of cultural, economical and ecological exploitation.

The threshold for our interventions should be set around the questions of consent and sentience. We believe that the ethical question of potentially genetically modifying alien species to be more intelligent answers itself. Uplifting seems to be inevitable in a civilisation of trillions of individuals, which is why we want to set moral standards for it beforehand. When engaging with any other form of life the search for sentience should be a major priority. It allows us to establish strategies for communication that should be respectful and aimed at understanding the alien motivations towards their future. With a strong basis of understanding the question of consent to uplifting can be answered on an individual basis.
